Neuromindworks provides evidence based neuropsychological rehabilitation and psychological therapy.  We are committed to improve quality of life and maximise functioning within the home, community, inpatient and residential settings. We regularly work with case managers, insurers and personal injury solicitors.  We are therefore aware of the processes involved within the medico-legal framework and the need for clear documentation, treatment plans and goals that are regularly reviewed.  Our specialist paediatric and adult neuropsychology enable a holistic approach to interventions.

Neuropsychological assessments

The types of interventions and assessments offered include:

  • Neuropsychological and psychological assessments
  • Psychological therapy for emotional problems, sleep, pain, fatigue, behavioural problems and relationship problems
  • Cognitive rehabilitation
  • Facilitating back to work
  • Working on a consultative basis with rehabilitation staff, including staff training to manage clients’ neuropsychological problems

Assessments include:

  • A formulation for how psychological and cognitive factors are affecting activity limitations and social participation restrictions, linking directly into multidisciplinary working
  • All reports will provide a clear treatment plan

The rehabilitation/ therapy process involves:

  • Clients in every stage of the process putting them at the centre of their care
  • Clients being seen at home, in the community or at a designated Neuromindworks clinic
  • Regular communication with the team
  • Facilitating the carry over of strategies learned in sessions into everyday life. This may be achieved through interdisciplinary working with treating team, our specialist brain injury support worker and/or in the context of family sessions

We ensure a high quality service by:

  • Keeping up to date with the latest scientific evidence base
  • Ensuring that our psychologists are all fully qualified and registered with professional bodies (e.g. Health and Care Professions Council). Clinical psychologists have case planning meetings with a consultant neuropsychologist.
  • We provide clear documentation and provide written summaries after each session; we regularly review treatment plans and goals and provide progress reports
